Continuing their aggressive push for growth, Celestion have more than doubled the size of their sales team over the last twelve months, and are expecting to report double digit year-on-year growth (to end of current financial year, 2006).
According to General Manager, Nigel Wood, “Growth has come from a concentrated effort to develop further our OEM customer base for professional audio, bass and guitar chassis. We have done this by intelligently expanding our product portfolio, sustaining our focus on customer service and through the acquisition of yet more expertise that will enable us to unlock new business opportunities.”
The end of this current financial year (March 31, 2006), will see double digit year-on-year growth - a direct result of this forward-thinking policy.
Wood continues, “Having more salesmen on the ground enables us to better develop and maintain strong releationships with our existing customers and to extend this customer-focused attitude to the acquisition of new OEM accounts. Not only that, by establishing dedicated, knowledgeable sales administration teams at Celestion Professional headquarters in Ipswich and the Celestion America sales office in the New York region, we have underlined our commitment to excellence in global customer service.”
Most recent recruit, Mehmed Murtic, is based in Slovenia, at the heart of the newly expanded European Union. A multi-lingual sales professional, he is ideally suited to the development of new accounts throughout continental Europe. In 2005, Celestion appointed California-based Rick Skillman to the role of OEM sales manager. A semi-professional musician, Rick has brought to the company a great deal of knowledge about the music industry and will be supporting the many customers in the Western United States, as well as developing new contacts. The company also expects to add a further OEM sales representative for the Central US in the very near future.
Additionally, 2005 saw Celestion establish a dedicated sales administration team under the auspices of newly recruited team leader, Reg Balmforth. The team is a direct point of contact for European and Worldwide customers and is completed by Georgina Weldon, who moves from the Human Resources department, and another new-arrival Stephanie Rendell. At Celestion America, Marie McMullan, yet another addition to the rapidly expanding Celestion team, fulfills this role for customers throughout the North and Central America.
