SUCCESS OF CELESTION’S GROWTH STRATEGY DEMONSTRATED BY 50 PER CENT INCREASE IN SALES

Celestion today announced the success of their long-term growth strategy by revealing a 50% year-on-year increase in sales turnover for Professional Audio Products.

Celestion, a leading designer and manufacturer of loudspeakers for more than eighty years, today announced an increase in sales turnover of 50% for professional audio product for year-end 2008 compared with 2007. Celestion attributes this success to their long-term strategy, which focuses on the expansion of market share within the Professional Audio sector.

“This tremendous achievement is a confirmation of our long term strategy.” Explained managing director Nigel Wood.

“We have significantly invested in personnel and equipment. We now have the largest research and development team of any loudspeaker driver manufacturer. Not only that, this team enjoys access to one of the best-equipped loudspeaker design, development, testing and measurement facilities anywhere in the world.

“This expanded resource has enabled us to develop an innovative and comprehensive range of products capable of fulfilling the exacting requirements of leading sound reinforcement OEMs. This includes the introduction of several ground-breaking products like the CDX14-3050 compression driver, which features a patent-applied-for phase plug design.”

2009 will see the next stage of the Celestion growth strategy, as the company is gears up to expand their distribution network into new territories as well as continuing to develop partnerships with yet more Professional Audio manufacturers.
