G12 CENTURY™ VINTAGE GUITAR SPEAKER DISPLAYED AT NAMM

15 January 2004

NAMM WINTER SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January 15, 2004 — Building on the success of its critically acclaimed G12 Century™ guitar speaker, leading designer and manufacturer Celestion is offering the new G12 Century Vintage guitar speaker. The G12 Century Vintage joins Celestion’s extensive line of guitar, bass, and PA speakers.

Featuring a Neodymium magnet structure with extremely low weight (1/3rd the weight of its nearest conventional 12" equivalent), the G12 Century Vintage has exceptional performance with the tone and responsiveness that has made Celestion the standard for musical instrument speakers worldwide for the past four decades.

The G12 Century Vintage is a 12", 60W, ultra-lightweight (1.6 kg/3.5 lb.) speaker in a pressed steel chassis that is very fast, responsive, articulate, and operates cool and efficiently. Celestion’s R&D team has voiced the G12 Century Vintage so it can produce classic vintage tones with a smooth, controlled overdrive, yet it can be punchy when necessary. In addition, the G12 Century Vintage employs a 1" round copper voice coil, has a frequency range of 75-5000 Hz, sensitivity of 98dB (1 Watt @ 1 meter), and nominal impedance of 8 or 16 Ohms depending on configuration.
