LEADING GUITARISTS INSIST ON CELESTION DRIVERS

V1.0 NAMM WINTER SESSION, ANAHEIM, CA, January 15, 2004 — Following closely on the heels of its milestone 80th anniversary, Celestion, the leading designer and manufacturer of professional loudspeakers and guitar speakers, is about to introduce a new promotional program in support of its complete range of bass and guitar drivers. The campaign, which will be launched in Q1 of 2004, consists of targeted PR and advertising in the leading consumer guitar and MI trade publications, plus an expanded online presence, facilitated by the recently updated Celestion (www.celestion.com) website, as well as other prominent industry websites.

Designed to further expand the awareness of Celestion’s acclaimed drivers, as well as provide end users with specific information about speaker replacement, the new campaign will feature leading guitarists from all genres of music. These artists actively use and endorse specific drivers from Celestion’s Classic, General, Acoustic, Bass, custom-designed and manufactured “signature” models. The first two players featured in this ongoing series are legendary Queen guitarist Brian May and Daron Malakian of System of a Down. Each artist will talk about the influential role Celestion has played in their guitar sound as well as their music.

Commenting on the new program, Paul Richardson Sales and Marketing Manager stated, “Since the early 1960s, Celestion has remained the speaker of choice for guitarists in all genres of music. We feel that the best way to get our message out to the music community is to let these leading players tell their own story of why they use and depend on Celestion night after night. After listening to guitarists like Brian and Daron relate their experiences with Celestion, I believe those stories and comments are the best gift we could ever receive to commemorate our 80th anniversary.”
