Celestion will be supplying Cornford Amplification with Vintage 30 speakers for their Richie Kotzen signature cabinets. Richie himself will launch the Kotzen signature stack, at a special event in Cornford's very own live venue, the “Cornford Club”.
Built with an enormous respect for tradition, Cornford’s hand-wired valve amplifiers are famous for their quality and reliability, as well as their awesome tone. They are a must-have for some of the truly great guitarists around the world.
“Richie is a long standing Cornford player and one of the most irreplaceable musicians of this generation, so when he asked us to start putting together a Kotzen signature stack we jumped at the chance of working with him,” said Paul Cornford, head of Cornford Amplification. “He specifically asked for Celestion-loaded cabinets and as we have a solid, long-standing relationship with Celestion and have never fitted any other make of driver in any of our products, we were more than happy to oblige”.
“Celestion and Cornford are well-established partners and we’re proud to be involved in the creation of the Richie Kotzen signature stack”, added Paul Richardson, Celestion’s head of sales and marketing. “The chance to work with a player of Richie’s stature is a real privilege and further underlines our status as the world’s number one guitar loudspeaker manufacturer”.
Richie will be demonstrating his signature stack to an invited audience at a performance in the “Cornford Club” at the Waterfront in Whitstable, Kent, UK on Wednesday 11 August.
About Richie Kotzen
By the age of 17, Richie Kotzen had played hundreds of live shows all over the United States. The following year Richie released his self-titled debut album, which landed him on the cover of Guitar World Magazine. In 1993, his success led him to become lead guitarist for multi-platinum act Poison; achieving two US top-twenty singles and platinum album sales. Richie has since enjoyed a varied and successful career both as a solo artist and as lead guitarist with Stanley Clarke (vertu), and the platinum rock band Mr. Big.
