EXPANDED SALES AND MARKETING TEAM IS CATALYST FOR GROWTH

01 July 2004

With the recruitment of a further UK-based salesman, Celestion are continuing to augment their Sales and Marketing team in line with a policy of aggressive expansion over the current financial year.

The arrival of Kevin Shove as OEM Sales Manager has enabled the Celestion Professional Products Sales and Marketing team to take shape under the supervision of recently-promoted Head of Sales and Marketing, Paul Richardson. Kevin is the third new recruit to the team in less than twelve months. He joins other newcomers; UK Account Manager, Phil Nicholson and Marketing Executive, John Paice, in an experienced team built to meet the challenges of implementing a strategy for continued growth.

Paul has a firm idea of what that strategy will be. "In our eightieth year, I think it's appropriate that we have the opportunity to further strengthen our organisation. A larger team is necessary both to consolidate our existing position in the market and to pursue aggressively our ambitious 2004 growth plans. The arrival of Kevin, Phil and John means that we can continue improving service to all of our customers and at the same time pursue a number of fresh, market-led initiatives focused on attracting new business."

Fundamental to this growth is the capability to expand Celestion presence in the US market and here, much depends on U.S. OEM/Distribution Manager, Andy Farrow. Since his move from the UK to New Jersey 18-months ago, Andy has overseen an impressive growth in sales. With that much success over such an enormous territory, however, it has become clear that an additional US salesman is needed to ensure sustained growth; so Celestion are now going all-out to recruit a representative on the west coast.

"With key accounts throughout the United States and in Canada and Mexico it becomes more of a logistical challenge for one person to provide our customers with the level of service they are entitled to" says Andy. "By adding an experienced salesman on the west coast, we'll be able to cover twice as much ground in the same amount of time.".

Celestion hope to announce yet another new recruit very soon.
